This month, Dr. Bruce Scott — an ear, nose, and throat doctor from Kentucky — was sworn in as the AMA’s new president, and in June 2025, Dr. Bobby Mukkamala — an ear, nose, and throat doctor from Michigan — will take over the president role.

promoted Jamie Kates to the role of chief accounting officer. She first joined Cigna in 2009. Kates’ most recent role at the company was vice president of accounting, in which she managed ‘s functions for accounting, compliance and consolidation.

Layoffs
